You’ve Been Invited

Someone thought your work was worth documenting and I agree.

This project documents meaningful work across our region: not just what you do, but why you do it.

The craft, care, and purpose behind the labor.

What This Is

A documentary photography project featuring businesses, nonprofits, and organizations doing meaningful work across Owensboro, Evansville, and the surrounding region.

I have aphantasia - I can't form mental images. Photography is how I process and share the present moment. This project extends that act outward: documenting the labor and making of others - building, growing, serving, and creating that shapes our communities.

Each photograph is a record of what people do with their hands, their time, and their care and why’s it matters to them.

How It Works

We'll spend about an hour together while you work as you normally would.

You show what matters - the process, the environment, the reasons.

I document quietly, with light guidance when helpful.

This isn't staged. You're not performing. You're doing what you do.

During the session, if any employees or collaborators are present, I'll offer them a quick individual portrait. Each person gets a QR/link card to download their portrait for personal use - part of my Portraits in Passing project. These individual portraits are also included in your full gallery if you purchase it.

Before I leave, I'll ask you to write 2–4 sentences about your work and why it matters. This becomes your contribution to the public archive.
